This policy explains what information 4ccs.com collects from visitors, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only, not to our physical offices or projects. For the rules governing your use of this site generally, see our Terms & Conditions.

Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

• Information you provide directly — for example, your name, email, phone number, and project details when you submit a contact or quote request form or register for an event.
• Information collected automatically — through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, once you've accepted our cookie banner. This includes pages viewed, approximate location (city/region level, derived from IP address), device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and whether you arrived from a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad. We do not use this information to identify you personally.

How we use this information

We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries and quote requests, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it, and to maintain the security and proper functioning of 4ccs.com. We do not use it for automated decision-making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Cookies, Google Analytics & the Meta Pixel

We use Google Analytics to understand general traffic patterns on this site — things like which pages are most visited and roughly how visitors find us. We also use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), to measure the performance of our Meta ad campaigns and understand when a visitor arrived at the site from one of our ads. Both tools use cookies, small files stored in your browser, to do this.

Neither script runs until you accept our cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and neither tool sends any data to Google or Meta. If you accepted earlier and later change your choice to decline, we stop both tools and delete the cookies they set. You can change your choice at any time:

Manage Cookie Preferences

Data collected through Google Analytics is stored on Google's servers, governed by Google's own privacy policy, and is automatically deleted on a rolling basis under our account's retention setting. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block cookies generally in your browser's settings.

Data collected through the Meta Pixel is received by Meta and governed by Meta's privacy policy. If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, you can review and adjust how Meta uses this kind of data for ads in your Ad Preferences settings.

Other third-party services

Our contact and event registration forms are hosted by HubSpot. Information you submit through those forms is received by HubSpot on our behalf so we can follow up with you; see HubSpot's privacy policy for how they handle it. On pages with a form, HubSpot's form loader also records a basic count of how often the form is viewed; it does not set cookies on this site.

Our project videos are hosted on YouTube. Our pages show a still image of each video that links to YouTube, so nothing from YouTube loads on this site unless you click through to watch; once you're on YouTube, Google's privacy policy applies.

To display our typefaces, pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Like any web request, this shares your IP address with Google so the font files can be delivered; Google Fonts does not set cookies.

Event registrations

When you register for an event we host, such as a factory tour, we collect the details you enter on the registration form: your name, email, firm and job title, and, if you choose to provide them, your phone number and AIA member number, plus whether you’d like to carpool to the event. We use this information only to manage your registration: to confirm your place, send you event details, calendar information and reminders, plan capacity, and keep an attendance record.

If you give us your AIA member number, we use it only to report your continuing-education credit to the American Institute of Architects or the AIA chapter presenting the event. If you answer Yes to the carpool question, we may share your name and email with other attendees who also answered Yes, only so you can arrange rides together. We do not otherwise share attendee information with event partners or other third parties, and we do not sell it.

We send you marketing emails only if you check the box on the form asking for occasional updates from 4C. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time. We keep registration records as long as needed to run the event and meet continuing-education record-keeping requirements. You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, using the contact details below.

Do we sell your information?

No. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Under California law, using the Meta Pixel to measure our ads can count as "sharing" for advertising. That is why the Meta Pixel runs only if you accept our cookie banner, and never when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal (see below).

Your choices

You can decline or withdraw analytics and advertising cookies at any time using the button above, or through your browser's cookie and privacy settings. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, the Meta Pixel does not load, even if you accept the cookie banner. If you'd like to know what information we hold about you, or would like it corrected or deleted, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for architects, builders, developers, and property owners, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our practices or the law changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
